Wow, just wow! Very nice work!

Where can I buy or at least find number 2? (The one with two people holding a newspaper over their head)

@ Emil D. I think that piece is by Kumi Yamashia http://kumiyamashita.com/ I don't know where you could purchase it, but it's on the 1st page of the website. The piece is called "Clouds".

I know the photoshopped comment was just a Troll but the 3rd, 4th and 6th I have seen in gallery shows and they are jsut as shown here - Tim Noble and Sue Webster who emerged as part of the YBA (Young British Artists) movement and made in part better known by Saatchi.

Number 6 is fake. the mannequins that cast those shadows are on the other side of the screen, not the trash from this side.

The rats and the people peeing are just stupid.

I really like number 10. It's really simple. Simplicity is Amazing!

I was Anonymous first so the rest of you be someone else.

wow these are cool. up until the rats...gross

I like the mouse pic. Funny!!

I think the mouse couple are perfect it looks so real :)

A bigger rack on the first image would have been better. Rats humping is not art.

blah blah blah that'S fake de blah SO WHAT IF ITS FAKE OR REAL! still pretty damn cool

What's wrong with the rats? The rats = my FAVORITE!

I think they are all pretty damn cool! The rats are awesome. You people are just fucking stupid and always have to have something to bitch about online

This is the first time I have ever seen this art form. I truly find this fascinating.

I would never have thought it was possible until I saw it for myself and still think it's amazing!

These are some well thought-out ideas. Love the creativity.

Is it real or photoshopped? If it's real, then it's for sure amazing but i think so some of them are photoshopped specially the third and fourth one. Any sources for the image creators?

Unique and interesting! i wonder what types of lights/light source is used

These are amazing - I haven't seen this art form before, either.
The man and the woman pissing are, well, strange subjects, but the others are really cool.

mind-blowing art... good job

If they are genuine then there are amazing. I would love to this sort of art in real life.

Great. I like them very much. First one is amazing.

Great Artistic pieces! If you think this is photoshopped you are an idiot. Kumi Yamashia is the artist. He actually exists and these are a few of his many great works of art.

Thats Incredible Art work by the Creator....Simply amazing...Hats off to him/her

Great Work, very creative and simply inspirational.

To you god freaks, egotistical brats, and narcissistic pessimists, thank you for demeaning everything around you. Thank you for taking something simple and sweet and making it your vessel for bitterness or insanity. Your insults and exclamations are surrogates for a nature of more gruesome proclivity. You'll make it easy for my home planet to invade, and eventually take control this planet. But fear not, artists, intellectuals, and people filled with passion and life. In fact, none of you have any need to fear anything. My race is advanced enough to reverse the damage that's been done to this galaxy, and cure your sickness of the mind. Oh, I almost forgot; Great art!

I've seen these displayed before at VCU in richmond, va.

I like this,it is very creative. Thumbs up!

Good job. I like your. Its somewhat funny.

Woah these are amazing illusions. I havn't seen this before it must have to a long while to do

We see distorted shadows all the time, the angle of the sun changes the length and the layout of a shadow. Who hasn't used their hands to make a shadow bird or rabbit against a wall? This is taking that concept to the extreme. It's working the illusion backwards. Come up with the image and then figure out how the objects casting the shadow have to be distorted to make the proportions correct at the angle that the light is coming from. If you're making a person shadow and the light is coming from down low, the head would have to be proportionately much smaller than the legs in order for the shadow to be proportionate. Simple example. It's got to be difficult to do, but I bet when it's your life's work, you get pretty damn good at it.
I understand that this may be a difficult concept to grasp for many... But for those skeptics, try this: Hold your hand up palms facing you. Now cross the palms over, intertwine your thumbs. Flap your fingers. You've made a shadow bird! The shadow doesn't look like fingers, does it?

whoa um whaaaaaaaa loookaaathat

how trash can become art. Brilliant.

This is brilliant work!

the rats are the only ones that look real.

I am amazed....it just goes to show what an incredible creators we all are. Imagination is eternal.

Nice show! love to try to create one!

Even though its not, why do people care if this is photoshopped, photoshop is an art form too. It's difficult and time consuming and it allows artists to bring their imaginations to life. I get real tired of people bagging on photoshppers.

Uh, because it's not a post about cool Photoshopped pictures, but about real-life objects manipulated to make intricate real-life shadows. So that would be dishonest and totally unimpressive and antithetical to the whole post.

Thank you for sharing

This is brilliant work!!!

to the people who say they are photoshopped- you obviously are not an artist, and you obviously have no knowledge of art or the endless possibilities. These pieces are amazing and take time and require a abstract way of thinking (that obviously some of you lack) to create something plausible. Just because you can't do it and the pieces are so amazing and beyond your comprehension...doesn't mean they aren't real.

Just to sum up, I think they're are fantastic!

Very creative and imaginative. Creativity knows no bounds. There is always something new and something you never dreamed you would see.

why when something quite brilliant is exhibited there is always someone to doubt or shout 'fake' why bother making one or two fakes? fake or not you try and see if you can replicate this talent! bet you ten bucks you cant!

Its pretty easy and time consuming but who has time for that?
This is where these people come in, amazing work!
I love it.

I hope you have deep pockets

Number 6 is fake...but i think most of the others is real...you can tell 6 is fake because the shadow for it is right below it.

Very cool. I've seen a few of these before, but never the profiles done w/ a piece of paper.

This is impressive. I am glad to have found this.

This is amazing. I am really impressed of your creativity and you gave some good ideas on how to spend my free time.

its not fucking photoshopped so you non-believers can go fuck yourselves

these are pretty cool.

Ouick internet equation:

"That's photoshopped!" = "I'm a loser and I can't do this myself, so I'm going to say it's fake."

I can't speak for the others but I've seen the rats one first hand in an art gallery in Salzburg, Austria. Coming into the room is funny cos you look at the junk on the ground and at first think "ok...I don't get why this is in a gallery", then you look up at the wall and are like WOAH wasn't expecting that!

This is innovation! Very impressive

sooooooooo coooooooool!!!!!

Woop! Love this! Haters get fucked! You're just mad cuz you have no talent. Simple as that. There are always going to be negative people in every place, they make the world go around, because without skeptics, there would be no cause to prove the matter.

WHOA!! This just kind of blew my mind right now.

Really wonderful art.Hats off to the great artists. Thanks a lot for sharing it with us.

Auto Parts Stores

Now this is what I'm talking about. This is Art. Great post, great pictures.

This is so cool, it's like a big show of "Things are not always as they appear." Sort of like the shadows are what they appear to be and what's making each shadow is what it actually is. I love it!

Yes this going into amazing list and will stay at the top for a while.

I loved this. I linked it to my companys wall http://www.facebook.com/pages/MyWhiteWallscom/178685558867071?notif_t=page_new_likes

Dominic, yes you can see the shadows of the objects on the ground next to them in #6 that don't look like anything at all. However, have you ever considered that an object can cast as many shadows as there are light sources in a room? In #6 there are at least 4 light sources. One pointing at each sculpture making the shadows of urinating people, and one pointing straight down from the ceiling to illuminate the structures themselves.

This is innovation! so awesome!
