Why would a guy pumping gas in a machine be smoking? I guess being stuck in the wrong job can drive one to killing themselves and anyone else in a 20 block radius.

last time I checked, no gas station could destroy a 20 block radius... that's a circle 40 blocks end to end... that sounds more like a small nuclear weapon lol

hey also, the cigarette alone could not cause an explosion...haha though i'm sure the propagator of this fine propaganda would be disappointed that the conversation was hardly in respect to his/her rather phenomenal work.

:-D

those are some realistic-looking posters or whatever they are! the illusion of depth is remarkable!

So is the depth of the illusion.

Amazing! What I can't believe, is that more than half of the comments on this page are arguing about a possible flaw in one of these advertisements

stop...typing...

It's a pretty big flaw. The art is fantastic, but a goofy mistake that makes it look less than life-like does something to damage the appreciation. And it is a mistake, or else it's a dark implication that the man shouldn't be working the pump because he's hazardously imprudent-- gasoline is an explosive and people who hold things that spit sparks while near explosives are highly ignorant, or suicidal. Isaac, any spark in combination with gasoline can cause an explosion.

When art is intended to be highly realistic, it's very hard for viewers NOT to find any little flaw glaringly obvious, because that is how our brains work. Don't get so upset about it. Really, the fact that everyone has remarked on just one flaw probably indicates that no one has anything negative to say about the rest of the artwork.

MONEY! Im going to go smoke at that gas station while pumping, get myself (lightly) burned and sue the crap out of the gas station and the company that makes that logo.

The one with the guy smoking is BRILLIANT advertising....it caught all your attention and mine.

cigarettes do not spit sparks

the only way to ignite gas is an open flame or spark.

while smoking at a gas station is not a good idea it's also completely do able and done frequently in countries that have much lower safety restrictions. it does not mean certain death. lit cigarettes can even be dropped into fuel containers without explosion (though i wouldnt want to test it too many times).

the point is, it's hilarious. they all are. now stop chipping away at other people's successes and appreciate what is obviously a great ad campaign.

I thought it was deliberate anyway. They guy is OBVIOUSLY in the wrong job if he thinks it's ok. Or did I miss something . . . . .

back in the 50's and 60's in North America, gas station attendants (when we had those who actually provided service, not just cashiers) frequently were seen smoking while pumping. And the cars didn't have to turn off to be filled either.

I'm with the last anonymous. Most of the people postinng on here probably didn't fill up a car with gas in the 60s or 70s - probably weren't even born yet. The mechanic who crawled out from under a car he was working on to pump your gas, looked just like that, cigarette and all.

Gasoline won't explode except in aerosol form, which is what your fuel injector does. It also needs an ignition temperature higher then that of your average cigarette. Also its irrelevant to the art.

I think his cigarette, biker girl poster, and grease stained overalls really add to the humorous effect of the stereotype grease monkey/mechanic/oil worker/coal miner/tough guy crammed into a petrol pump to serve you.

You people do know that these are not real, right? There isn't REALLY a guy inside the gas/petrol pump. You need to relex and get out a little.

sometimes trying to be smartarsed blows up in your face.
"Why would a guy pumping gas in a machine be smoking? I guess being stuck in the wrong job can drive one to killing themselves and anyone else in a 20 block radius."
OPEN FLAME causes gas to ignite. If you drop a lit smoke in a puddle of gas, its going to go out. HERPADERP.

hey guys,

the cigarette isn't lit.

Amazing ads, have to laugh with an ad for quite some time!

CIGARETTE HAD TO BE LIT WITH AN OPEN FLAME TO START WITH!

Proof that some people with access to the internet can't grasp the finer pieces of art, and instead must tear it down. Good job. I thought the gas station grease monkey, was hilarious.

"CIGARETTE HAD TO BE LIT WITH AN OPEN FLAME TO START WITH!"
Nope. Mot if you use a car lighter. It's just hot metal, not an open flame, and just like a lit cigarette, won't make the petrol station explode.

This page will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about cigs and petrol.

So while everyone is looking for their dream job, someone else is paying their bills, then.

gas attendants in New Jersey (one of two states that still have only full service) smoke all the time.

I felt the cigarette was meant to illustrate that the guy pumping gas was in fact in the wrong job. Think about it, every one of these ads shows something that indicates it's the wrong job for that individual person. Smoking in a gas pump was just one of them.

This isn't the first time I've seen some of these ads. I must say, these are some of the better ad campaigns I've seen.

This is great, very creative And affective!

so its the guy INSIDE the pump that has the wrong job....I see...its funny now :-)

okay, you guys are not getting the point.
get over the technicalities!!!

this is clever and artistic. shut up.

The arcade machine says space invaders but he seems to be playing mario

I love how all of the jobs that are food and or "homely" are given to the women. I.E. the laundry, coffee, and ice cream job. Even proactive ads can be sexist too! Yyyaaayyy!

People are really griping about the gas guy smoking a cigarette? No one heard of suspension of disbelief? Really?

Look, Yer all Nuckin Futs. The theme of all these "Machine Operators" is sarcasm and semi-realism in the character of who they are. Rough necks out in the oil fields smoke, so have a nice 'brey'.

First of all to the people freaking out about a cigarette near gasoline.... Have you ever thrown a lit cigarette into a cup of gas?
Because NOTHING HAPPENS!!
The gas actually puts out the cigarette and nothing ignites.
Do it yourself if you dont believe me.

vapour fumes can ignite through heat i believe, though you get no fumes till the gas is pumped, so assuming all the pipes etc are perfectly secure and air tight, technically you could safely smoke in there, at your own and everyone elses risk

Urghhh... Americans, stop calling it gas. :) I actually have an image of a puddle of gas (as in normal non-liquid, nor solid, gas). Anyhoo, apart from that the cigarette isn't even lit, and even if it was petrol has a fairly high activation energy (i.e. the more of it there is, the harder it is to light), so in fact this guy would be in more danger with traces of petrol on him.

I think most people are missing the point about the cigarette and the gas/petrol. I am sure that the designer of this particular ad fully intended the guy to be smoking. It just adds weight to the argument that 'you're in the wrong job'.

Quote: "I think most people are missing the point about the cigarette and the gas/petrol. I am sure that the designer of this particular ad fully intended the guy to be smoking. It just adds weight to the argument that 'you're in the wrong job'."

Un-Quote: If these people didn't realize that instantaneously while looking at the pic, I really don't think us explaining the picture to them will work any better. It's called lack of common sense.

For those who get it, no explanation is needed. For those who don't, no explanation will ever do.

eyes are in the beautiful jar of the beholder

What a spark can do to your brains. This only shows how short minded people are.
The advertizement is fantastic.

not to say SHUT UP but really? You're going to argue about cigarettes? Get your facts stright, first of all. And second, in this kind of work, every detail is meticulously planned. Do you really think that these ads were executed by one person?
I don't.
So in a team of people, you think not one person would mention this "flaw"? Surely someone would.
Maybe you're just looking at the ad from a short-sighted perspective. I'm sure there will be others who appreciate them. Suffice to say, these ads are not for you, 'flaw-seekers.'

I think these ads are brilliant and entertaining. THANK YOU to the Artists!

OH NOES!!!11!!!111!!!11!!

The woman dispensing ice cream doesn't have her hair tied back! This is an outrage! I'm going to sue the advertising company for allowing my ice cream to be delivered in a way that shirks the Health & Safety regulations, clearly laid out in Paragraph II, subsection 3i of the 85th page in the Ice Cream Safety Manual!

but... what is happening in my keyboard???

Are you all STUPID ???? if you take the time to notice .... He is the only one SMOKING. think maybe as a smoker this is clearly what the artist meant by THE WRONG JOB !!!!!! LOOK AT IT FROM this perspective. and then relax and have a SMOKE

Inside the mouse you use to move your cursor around is a little mouse that moves it around for you and the cord is its oxygen cord P;

das leben ist zu kurz fur den falschen job

The life is simply too short for the wrong job

Like smokers pumping gas

So everyone is still arguing about the cigarette?
I'm going to comment on how amazingly lifelike these posters look. I had to look twice to make sure they didn't actually stick someone in there for added effect.
Kudos to the person who designed these ads.
To the guy smoking; keep on trucking. You can quit that job and become famous as 'the guy who started an internet revolution because he was smoking at a gas station.' E will die to hear your story. And MTV will buy the rights to a TV show about your life.

Good luck hurting yourself with cigarettes at a gas station and suing the ad company. You'd have to try that in Germany, where they have an actual justice system.
This discussion is retarded anyway.

Now, with the video game ad, is the guy inside the game the one with the wrong job, or the fact that MARIO is inside SPACE INVADERS implying something about Mario in the wrong job? ...just sayin'...

That is pretty kool.... Thanks for sharing :)

You people are ridiculous. No one can even enjoy things anymore.. It's good work, yeah? So just be like, "Hey, I dug it." or stfu

besides, don't you think it's totally appropriate for the guy to be smoking? It's like saying, "I hate this effing job so much I just don't care anymore." which is kind of the whole point of the campaign...

LOL at idiot down there. Saying gasoline is explosive. Yeah and cars explode when you shoot the gas tank. go see another terrible movie you dumb fuck

Did anyone notice the fellow pumping gasoline was smoking a cigarette? LOL!

1. Nell is right
(stop arguing about the cig and read his comment)

2. This set of adverts is hilarious

Somewhat put off by the gender roles/stereotypes present, but a nice idea.

What's with all the aggressive "HOW DARE YOU EXPRESS AN OPINION" rubbish in these comments? People have different opinions. Accept it. Be respectful or fuck off yourself you bunch of reactionary twits.

A: There is no such thing as "suing" in Germany.
B: Good luck trying to find the smoking guy because he doesn't exist.

Uh-oh.. Troll country!! Run for the hills!!

these are amazing. and everyone is arguing about something that isnt even real. jeez calm down. not like there r actually people who are inside these.

and maybe its diesel he is pumping which in no way can you light with a ciggarette

The use of stereotypes was necessary in telling the story embedded into each graphic. It is fascinating that just about anyone in North America or Europe would easily be able to relate to the advertising.

These remind me of Norman Rockwell.

Why do you think they're all white?

It's a German ad. Damn near everyone smokes in Germany.

to most of the people above me... STFU

Anyways,

I really like the ice cream one and the one where the guy is wrapping coins glaring at you as you give him more work. Very humorous.

Also I think the bottle of alcohol that the singer has is pretty funny too, I'd be drinking if he were I.

P.s. Guys it's totally okay, the gas man has a fire extinguisher! No but seriously, STFU, myself included. ;)

Have we learned nothing from Zoolander?!

none of these pictures are actually realistic so why does it matter if the guy is smoking? seriously people, chill.

and person above me: haha zoolander :] good movie

Long live the proletariat! May the workers of the world be ever more successful in their struggle against the capitalist boss-pig!

Leave it to a group of ignorant fucks to bitch about cigarettes.

Get a worthwhile cause.

very creative and impressive images. It worths 1 million of words for those who love to HATE their jobs, but, still they need to stay in that spot for the bloody money!

HappyNow?! from Canada

After reading the most ridiculous argument about whether or not cigarettes can ignite gasoline, I am relieved to see a fellow Canadian changing the mood and getting that last post off.

I'm American. I like the Canadians better.

These are so clever. I usually ads make me gag, but these made me laugh.

I hate it when people say "The Canadians"....

Now off to go drink my Maple Syrup and hide in my igloo.

You know which one bothers me? The guy who's acting out Super Mario Bros. in a Space Invaders machine! >_<

These are genius, pure genius!Don't get caught up in "what faux pa did the designer make"?, but rather really see these images and experience the laughter wit and creativity without any preconceptions Dave W.

This is good work and i love the one at the gas pump is gets the most attention not negativley either its jealousy wich means its good and it totaly makes sense!!!KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!:)

o wow i always wondered how they make those instant coffee things!!

Hahahahaha.
Fucking hell people are shit these days.
All that bullshit about the cigarette, I honestly don't think there was any deeper meaning to it apart from it really fits with the image of the petrol stained mechanic.

And obviously you guys know that these jobs are "wrong" because these people are stuck in stuffy cramped machines?
Right?

I mean they're not really but that's the point of the advertising.

Can't we just go, "ah that's pretty funny and inventive" without picking it all apart?

Like a pack of dicks?
Rightright?

The last one totally wouldn't work.

Love these. Sad that some people in comments must tear down anyone that are more creative then they. Hard to create; easy to critique.

Agreed. These are meant to be a humorous ad campaign and are very artistic at that.

Just FYI....it has to be an open flame to ignite gasoline, just a lit cigarette does not work. Trust me, I've tried.

Amazing artwork though.

This is a brilliant campaign. I love truly creative work - so much that we see is derivative, and this is fresh. Bravo to the team that put this together.

loool just wonderfull those images! thank you for sharing! i would like to know in wich city are those pictures^^ need a pic near them ;)

one word for all you people complaining about the guy smoking a cigarette: Mythbusters.

you people crack me up.

Awesome advertising idea, btw. :-D

ahahahaa... who had the idea for this ads? they are amazing!!:))

That is the whole point in the picture with man pumping gasoline smoking a cigarette at the same time. It is suppose to be funny and crazy because people in their right minds know that doing this is a big NoNo.

OK, first off, this cigarette argument is ridiculous, the ads are awesome regardless of this minor oversight. Second, a cigarette can light gasoline vapors, and the whole "You can put a cigarette out in gas" argument is misleading. If the cigarette is moving quickly through the air and doesn't hit a point where the vapors are sufficiently concentrated, it will be extinguished when it lands in the liquid, because LIQUIDS DO NOT BURN, THEY MUST FIRST BE CONVERTED TO A GASEOUS FORM, so let's just work with facts from here out.

1) Gasoline is highly flammable, with a flash point (the temperature at which it generates enough vapors to form a combustible fuel mixture) of around -50 degrees Fahrenheit (all temperatures in this post will be given in Fahrenheit), and an ignition temperature of about 495 degrees.

2) The end of a lit cigarette reaches temperatures in excess of 1200 degrees during inhalation, and over 700 degrees when not being drawn.

3) 700>495

4) STFU

These posters are from europe. He's pumping diesel which is not flammable unless pressurized.

He's doing nothing dangerous. You can drop a lit cigarette into a cup of diesel fuel and it will just go out.

You can't say with any certainty what he's pumping. It may be diesel, it may be gasoline, absolutely nothing in the photo would lead you to this conclusion.

Based on the fact that he's not blowing up, I'd say it's a safe bet that it's diesel.

I can say with certainty that the guy pumping the gas is ridiculously cute and doesn't deserve such scrutiny.

While a great campaign... I take the meaning more to make people stop and think about the people behind our convenience. Someone, somewhere, had to produce the ingredients, perform the music, crunch the numbers, pump the oil... etc.

The sticker on the open gas cap door indicates the car takes diesel. Find the full-size version on a different site and see for yourself.

Science!

Guys, it's Germany. The 'gasoline' he's pumping is diesel fuel. Look it up.

omg... the problems you guys are having!
awesome ads, love them!

Would you people shut up please? Does everyone have to argue about EVERY LITTLE DETAIL!? It is an interesting and creative ad campaign. It wasn't made to raise awareness about the dangers of fire near explosive materials, therefore, it is COMPLETELY irrelevant as to whether or not he is smoking a god damned cigarette... People annoy me with their tendencies to argue over trivial subjects...

this is very cool, and maybe something to think about? Hmm.

These are absolutely amazing!
It makes me sad to see how critical and ignorant people can be about art that obviously took an ungodly amount of thaught and preparation to create. show some f***ing respect!

the ads are amazing. absolutely brilliant

The posters are a metaphor. Obviously nobody is inside the gas pump actually pumping your gas, so who cares if the guy is smoking. It's just a figurative way of saying to do what you love instead of working like a machine at a regular 9-5 job. Geez.

wow, it got to the point where the people talking about the ads were funnier than the ads themselves. I love it when people argue over stupid stuff XD

I love how people are trying to argue that the cigarette can light gas when i have seen lit ones dropped into gas and just put out by it, also don't you think him smoking is kinda part of the point of the ad anyways.

haha arguing about arguing about a cigarette.............any who these ads are super clever love it

THERES NO SMOKE!
He's obviously just chewing on an unlit cig..probably just can't wait until his next break in 2 hours. Done.
These posters are awesome

Anonymous @ February 14, 2011 3:11 PM:

That's one of the most intelligent things that's been said during this whole discussion. Kudos.

These are brilliant - so eye catching they seam real :)

...anyone notice that they are all inside "machines" - could this have to do with "technology" taking over what "used" to be human jobs? just a thought...

Took me time to read all the comments, but I really enjoyed the article. It proved to be Very helpful to me and I am sure to all the commenter’s here! It’s always nice when you can not only be informed, but also entertained! I’m sure you had fun writing this article.

I like the coffee machine. I will love to remplace my wife with her :-)

I loved the ads. You people worrying about the smoker should have realised that the cigarette can't be lit, because if it was, the box would fill with smoke, and you wouldn't be able to see the man. I'm off to find out what STFU means.

this is so funny! i always wonder if there's a real man hiding in the sandwich machine, looks like i have found my answer!

Ah ah, you need much imagination to think about these things.

:-)

It may not even be a cigarette, he could be holding a tool in his mouth.

I'm not certain which is a better reflection on society that the artist could show the disparity between the technology of the day and previous times or that most of the response posts focused on a smoker. I'm surprised nobody complained about the stereotyping or considered the source location (folks still actually smoke in Germany btw). I really liked the bloody bandage on the biker's knee--now that's realism and localization!!

Yes, the artwork is great, but I do not approve of the message. Basically it's saying that life is too short to work your way up. Why make people feel bad for having jobs like these? They give people basic work experience and experience with the public. Also, it is impossible to get the "right job" without education and experience. It is also another example of how technology is eliminating jobs. Some would say that it also creates jobs, however, it takes them away from students and all those who do not plan on or are not capable of pursuing a technical career.

stupid people talking seriously about funny things. that's funnier (for a while) than the campaign itself

NO ONE's got a job sitting INSIDE machines, mr.anonymous. go get yourself a sense of humour.
but I DO agree with the stuff you've typed...

Actually Auro, people who drive eighteen wheelers sit inside of machines, pilots sit inside of machines, taxi cab/ limo drivers sit inside of machines, construction workers sit inside of machines, The Ice Cream Truck driver sits in a machine, submarine crews sit inside of machines, turret operators sit inside of machines, train conductors sit inside of machines, ship captains sit inside or on top of machines, astronauts sit inside of machines, the guys that played C-3PO and R2D2 sat inside of machines.

Forget the cigs lets talk about the incredible hulk fist, among other things, in the space invaders game.

Those would be pretty terrible jobs if they existed. I'd hate to do them. :P

That is absolutely hilarious! Great campaign
www.gettingsocial.ca

The one thing everyone seems to have missed is what's probably the most important piece of information: the web address through which one might actually find real jobs in Germany. The second thing worth learning is that German airport security has a far greater sense of humor than TSA. Yes, I know they were paid to post the ads ... blah, blah, blah ... but we all know TSA has no sense of humor no matter the price.

Jonathon Steele, I noticed that too! I didn't even notice the cigarette, but I was so annoyed to see Mario and a random Hulk prob for the wrong game!

is that guy really smoking a cigarette?? what a dumbass

Yeah so the dude clearly put the cigarette in the Gas one because it is f*ckin funny.

"Yes, the artwork is great, but I do not approve of the message..."

You sir are dumb. Nobody has jobs like these...and students can all pursue a technical career. It is called get a degree in computer science, computer engineering...there is a long list of opportunities. And I happen to believe technology has created more jobs than it has destroyed. Look at the internet alone, how many employees are on the internet between Facebook, Youtube, Wikipedia, and Google alone?

You guys are sooooooo stupid... clearly the cigarette in the guy's mouth is one of those new no-light cigarettes that you just pack a nicotine cartridge into. :-D (P.S. you're not dumbasses, that's actually a great observation)

what the f*** is that???
I can't wonder how is those people life if working like that>?
hahahaha

Great Ads !!!

By the way, I worked at a gas station, that's a chewing pencil, not a cigarette :P

You are all a bunch of smart asses and you piss me off with your stupid arguments. Life is also too short to argue about stupid shit. You make me want to die.

Hahaha I am impressed with this good work and good way to express the wrong things. And I happen to believe technology has created more jobs than it has destroyed. Look at the internet alone, how many employees are on the internet between Facebook, Youtube, Wikipedia, and Google alone?

If you want to get technical, there's something "wrong" with every picture. The woman handling food/drink have their hair down and are not wearing gloves. The guy rolling cigs is sticking them in his mouth. The bike guy needs to change his bloody bandage. Jukebox guy has flammable alcohol and an ashtray, which is next to the plugged in electrical cord. Airport guy is fondling a stranger's tighty whiteys. ATM guy's coffee mug looks like it'll fall at any moment which could cause some type of electrical fire. The laundry girl's dirty feet are in the same bucket as the soapy suds. I'll just skip over the gas one. Video game, besides what's already been mentioned, there are also pac man characters in the "space invaders" game. Now that I've gotten all the "flaws" covered, these are wonderful works of art. They look so realistic and actually do portray a few different messages, just depends on how you perceive it. And funny thing, I never even noticed the cig in the gas guy's mouth when I first looked. When I picture a mechanic, I assume he's a smoker and that seemed normal to me...which I'm sure was intended. Stop trying to take everything so seriously. Be more open minded and enjoy the art for what it is. Or don't, I could honestly care less either way :0)

Retards, please pay attention to detail when complaining about the attention to detail. The man in the gas pump is simply pumping the gas into a barrel. Hes not swimming in it. Stop trolling over an unlit cigarette, and realize that they ads are pics, not real people shoved into small places working.

lol so many idiots with the internet these days

I personally was entertained with every single one of these.
No shit that these things can't happen. The point of them is to get your mind thinking and to grab your attention, purely for enjoyment, not reality.

Who the fuck cares about the cigarette?! Stupid picky fucks.

Very creative ads. For some reason, it reminds me of Norman Rockwell. =]

hehehe... nice very beutiful....

How did they get all those people in all those little spaces?

Salute to the one who come out with this ad campaign. It's brilliant and to the point. Hope we'll learn what life is all about after looking at the ad.

That's ten minutes of my life I won't get back thanks to reading the posts of all you idiotic gasoline/smoking debaters.

I don't consider the adds all that successful (excluding the phenomenal graphics and interesting concept) in terms of communicating a clear message.

Sure it's great to say 'life's too short for the wrong job' but many people work in these professions and enjoy doing so. Are these professions supposed to be beneath everyone's dignity?

Is it advocating automating these positions with machines? Or higher education? It just seems disoriented and one dimensional in terms of meaning. Ineffective as radical art.

everyone that is talking about that cigarette thing is an idiot. Gas doesn't catch fire, the FUMES catch fire. lighting a cigarette in a small space (like the man pictured) WOULD IN FACT EXPLODE!

on another note, i think that was trying to show irony and humor, no one would really do that...

Is it a cigarette machine? I can't tell what she's got in her hand down at the lower slot.

I can't figure out the one between the airport scanner and the laundromat. What's that machine/guy supposed to do?

whoever said that a spark near gasoline will cause an explosion is an idiot, gas is not explosive. Its highly flammable, gas fumes are explosive not gas

Nada mejor que la imaginación para lograr una sonrisa!!

Excelente los cuadros que en los sitios públicos van muy bien para cambiar el estado de ánimo!!

Very funny ads. Creative work

These ads are very cool!

between the airport scanner and laundromat is an ATM.

quit worrying about how accurate it is..."blah blah blah he's gona blow everything up". really? you wanna talk about accuracy? have you ever seen someone actually in a gas pump drilling your gas? chill out and enjoy the German humor.

These are the most creative ads i've ever seen. Thanks for sharing.
http://www.blairlockout.com

Have you seen the guy in de gaspump is smoking,..?
Tsss, crazy :)

badasses smoke while pumping gasoline.

Of course they'd only designate the WOMEN to making coffee, cleaning clothes, and making ice cream.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk0cAVKyb6Y&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL Best video ever sang by the best artist!!

I love these! I can't tell what the third one is though, I think that's a vending machine but I can' tell what that guy is doing.

He's rolling cigarettes.

Many comments say, "This is art so lighten up (about the gasoline pump ad)." However, I feel its fair to criticize such elements, especially since its art. It's really a matter of perspective. If I look at the piece of art and get the impression it is trying to portray something realistic, then I can criticize it for lacking some realistic element.

All the ads require "suspension of disbelief." However, if there is an element that blocks my ability to enter that state of mind, then its a good topic of discussion.

Personally, I didn't mind the dude smoking the cig in the pump. On the other hand, I didn't like the laundry ad and the airport security ad, because I couldn't find the pictures to be believable. With the first, you would see the woman when you open the laundry door. With the second, there wouldn't be room for luggage to pass through.

I didn't realize the arcade game one was Space Invaders only, I thought it was some sort of multigame unit. After someone's comment, I guess it made it less believable.

Of course, the ads aren't going after being realistic. It's about being in crappy jobs. And at that, they are all superb.

I just saw some really funny pics......they were ruined by a bunch of wankers, arguing about a cigarette, the amount of time people waste on petty bickering is retarded!

Very cool! Thanks for sharing.

Perhaps we can submit creative captions for the ads. I'll start. For the gasoline/petrol one:

"Only 92 more days until the next Rigid Tool Calendar."

For the coffee dispensing machine:

"Hold the cup a bit higher, Love. Yesterday's Chi Tea was a bit pissy."

For the Ice Cream machine:

"Uh oh... another swirl. The last one tied my sweater into a knot".

For the x-ray machine:

"Station 5 to Dispatch: Vee haff fount zee Skid Mark Murderer... Svarm! Svarm!"

The girl in the washing machine looks so sad ;(

This should cheer her up... the guy has a wedding ring in his hand and just proposed... thus saving her from a life of washing other peoples' clothes... to washing his exclusively.

Caption for the ATM machine:

Based on my calculations, your last withdrawl - to purchase insignificant items you couldn't afford - was the straw that broke the camel's back, causing the global economy to spin out of control. So, we're keeping your card, and your money... and we will be paying your debts with it. Thank You, Miss Pandora, for your business.

in deed... Life is too short for a wrong job.

Why is there a random hulk hand in the space invaders/mario machine??

Muy bueno, me encanta la mecanica tradicional...

Really funny :) thanks for sharing !

I would just like to ask how I can get permission to use one of these? Possible?

@TeeNa: Daily Dawdle does not own the copyright to these images. Free feel to grab them.

are they real people in there working? like everyday???

People are too picky when critiquing the pictures. So what if the man is smoking while inside the gas pump? No person in their right mind would do that in real life. The point of these posters/pictures are to prove a point, not to be completely correct! They're very creative and I would personally like to see one in real life.

since he's in a closed space, the air-fuel ratio has to be perfect for it to blow up, but the ratio is too high in such a small place, therefore, no boom

These are funny....but what I can't understand is the sexism present in them. Women working the food and washing machines? Men working the banking/ accounting machines, the video game machine, and the gas one? Excuse me but these ad makes need to catch up to the modern world.

check out how much everyone is talking about the smoking.... this is an advertisers dream. the point of the ad is to make u talk about it. it has done exactly its intention.
and come on people these adds aren't real life. they didn't actual put ppl in machines u fools.
