In 2003, Bob Carey began photographing himself wearing only a pink tutu on a lark. Six months later, his wife Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer and the photos became a way to inject a little humor into a very difficult time. Now, nine years later, Carey is using what was once a goofy hobby to raise money for breast cancer by self publishing Ballerina, a book of his portraits, with all net proceeds going to breast cancer organizations like Cancercare.org and the Beth Israel Department of Integrative Medicine Fund.
